Twenty six air cadets from Bristol and Gloucestershire Wing completed Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expeditions visiting historic sites in Normandy days before the 70th anniversary of D-Day. The cadets trekked on foot for three days across the coast and countryside liberated in the Allied invasion of Europe before parading in uniform to pay their respects to the fallen at the British Cemetery at Bayeux and the US Cemetery at Omaha Beach.
