Over last weekend, cadets from 181 (City of Gloucester) Squadron took part in parades and services to commemorate the Battle of Britain. We were invited to join 186 (Newent) Squadron on the Saturday at the Newent town church for a service to celebrate 100 years of the Royal Air Force.
On the Sunday, we were invited to join 125 (Cheltenham) Squadron at the annual Battle of Britain service in St Mary’s Church, Cheltenham.
Following the service was a short parade to the Cenotaph, where there was a wreath laying ceremony attended by dignitaries including the Town Mayor and Air Marshall Sir ‘Dusty’ Miller KBE.
