On Saturday 21 June 2014 , 614 (Lydney) Squadron’s new headquarters was officially opened by The Right Honourable Viscount Bledisloe thirty seven years after his father inaugurated their previous Headquarters. Following a blessing by the Squadron Chaplain, Reverend Sarah Fenby, Viscount Bledisloe unveiled a plaque to mark the occasion.
On a beautiful bright sunny day, the Squadron Band performed an excellent routine in front of the invited guests and a large gathering of parents before everyone inspected the new facilities and tucked into a specially baked celebration cake.
